There is no need to communicate with Technical Support on this issue after every assignment. However, assignments should be monitored so that toolkit requirements can be updated if the demands of the job require it - e.g. updated software, higher spec hardware, new "non-standard" applications. Ensure that each consultant has a checklist of what tools they should have (such as Virtual Machines, memory sticks, and backup capability) before an assignment.

Often new starters are left to sort this out for themselves and end up with key toolkit components missing. This can be a problem if the consultant only discovers this while on-site.
