Conduct Interviews and make selection

Process Conduct Interviews and make selection

Description

There is no right way to interview; much depends on the nature of the job and the make up of the interview panel. However, there are many wrong ways, which not only might militate against finding the best candidate, but also may expose the organization to a discrimination claim, which in turn can cost us thousands of pounds as well as management time and effort. Therefore, interviewers must be able to demonstrate all necessary competencies. Before conducting an interview, review the training materials and our database of good interview questions.

When it comes to selection, try not to let personal or emotional factors get in the way. Of course, listen to your "gut feel", but the core of our approach is to match demonstrable and objective skills to criteria.
