Context, Motivation, & Constraints

Shows the different components of a capability landscape and their feedback loops. For example, effective modelling requires some grounding in disciplines like "Information Science" . What is actually brought to the modelling process from these disciplines will in turn affect how modelling is actually done.<br/>All knowledge and capability is then "situated" in a bigger picture and is both constrained and enabled  by what it interacts with. This can cause gaps and mismatches ("dissonance") as well as learning and new opportunities.<br/>Main point is that there is no "monological" discourse or viewpoint here. Diversity ("variety" as per Ashby's Law of requisite variety") can be orchestrated but not mandated. The collective effort is inherently "dialogical".<br/>
